For those of you that watched the season 5 finale of the CGI animated show, Star Wars: The Clone Wars there is some unfortunate news. Disney and Lucasfilm plan to shut down the production of the series, as the companies want to shift focus from the prequel era to the Episode VII era. In addition to this the animated comedy Star Wars: Detours is also being postponed to a later date as Lucasfilm determines whether it will be a good idea to launch a parody about Star Wars before the new movie's release. With all this being said, is this good or bad news for Star Wars fans?

J.J. Abrams, the director behind the upcoming movie Star Trek: Into Darknessis being considered by Lucasfilm to make the new Star Wars: Episode VII movie. It isn't official yet, but talks are going underway.

New Admin, New Rules, Contest Results
Hey there everyone, my name is TheXHunter08 (https://www.deviantart.com/thexhunter08) and I'm the new admin to this group. There's gonna be a few changes to the Star Wars Society, but I promise you it won't be anything super super drastic.
1) New Rules, New Folders
So a lot of artwork, photos, and fanfics have been submitted to Featured Folder and although it may be easier to submit art, it's a lot harder for people to actually see the diversity of art about the Star Wars universe, and on the day a person wants to go fav crazy about Star Wars stuff, it's a bummer to see that.
